Brooke Worden Talks About Handling Social Media Crises

November 18, 2010 by Cecilia Hughes
Brooke PhotoBrooke Worden, APR, vice president in the financial services practice at Weber Shandwick’s Minneapolis office, speaks with Sandra Burrowes, guest host of “On the Record…Online,” about social media crises and introduces FireBell, a tool created by Weber Shandwick. FireBell is an application that enables users to mock tweet, post status updates and respond to conversations using functional replicas of a company’s — and its critics’ — social media properties.
Currently, Worden leads the U.S. Census Bureau public relations campaign, working with more than 50 employees in six Weber Shandwick offices nationwide. She joined Weber Shandwick’s Minneapolis office 10 years ago and has worked on several major accounts during that time, including ING, Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America, Prudential Retirement, MasterCard International, the U.S. Treasury Department, and Cigna Retirement & Investment Services. Recently named to PRWeek’s “40 Under 40” list, Worden also is president-elect of PRSA’s Minnesota Chapter.
