Digital Impact Conference: Cision's Heidi Sullivan Discusses Reaching Key Influencers

May 19, 2011 by Diane Gomez

How can you identify and target the key influencers in your social media space — the handful who can make a real difference for your brand? At this year's Digital Impact Conference, Heidi Sullivan (@hksully), vice president of Media Research at Cision, showed attendees how to use online tools and social metrics to determine the top influencers in their markets. She revealed best practices for developing relationships with those influencers — and how to leverage those relationships to build social capital for organizations.

Greg Williams (@gregscience) interviews Sullivan about measuring influencer relations. As inheritor of the Bacon’s tradition, Cision has decades of experience in deciding which media deserve to be monitored and listed in databases, but whether they remain on top depends how they handle new realities. She recently sat down with “On the Record…Online,” the official podcast of the PRSA 2011 Digital Impact Conference in New York, where she presented on how to “find and reach key influencers.”
