Christy Nolta Shares an Inside Look at Military Transparency

nolta Page 1 Image 0001Last June, PRSA presented the Air Force with the “Best of Silver Anvil Award” for its program to facilitate media coverage of flag-draped coffins bearing the remains of U.S. service personnel arriving at Dover Air Force Base.
 
During the PRSA International Conference in Washington, D.C., Christy Nolta, deputy director, U.S. Air Force Public Affairs, took time to speak with “On the Record…Online,” about the award-winning campaign, ”A Solemn View: Public Affairs Provides a Window to American Service Members’ Ultimate Sacrifice.” She discusses the media relations program the Air Force developed to facilitate coverage that was consistent with the wishes of each family. Nolta also presented a Conference session titled, “The Dignified Transfer of Fallen Heroes: Implementing the New Policy of Transparency.”
