Life and Work: Cheryl Procter-Rogers Talks Balance

procter-rogers2PRSA 2010 International Conference presenter, Cheryl Procter-Rogers, APR, Fellow PRSA, vice president for public relations and communications, DePaul University, and past PRSA president, speaks with Eric Schwartzman, host of “On the Record…Online,” about work-life balance. Procter-Rogers will be presenting a session titled, “A Winning Approach to Advocacy Campaigns,” at the PRSA International Conference in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 19.
 
Procter-Rogers joined DePaul University in August 2009 and is responsible for integrating and strengthening communication efforts to promote and enhance the university’s visibility. No stranger to higher education and DePaul, she has guest lectured on more than 20 college campuses in the last seven years. She served as professional advisor to PRSSA for several years at DePaul before agreeing to serve on the newly formed advisory council for DePaul's College of Communication last year.
 
During her 30-year career, Procter-Rogers worked with a variety of corporations in a number of business sectors. She served in management positions for HBO, Nielsen Marketing Research and Golden State Mutual Life Insurance Company. As a consultant, her clients have included Coca-Cola, Nissan, Allstate, McCain Foods and Magellan Corporation.
